There’s also a new HDMI 2.1 socket to add support for 4K HDR content with frame rates of up to 60fps from the 30fps of its predecessor. AirPods Pro and AirPods Max owners will also be delighted with the box’s support for spatial audio, which means you can now enjoy a Dolby Atmos movie experience via headphones.

Obviously, the bread and butter of the Apple TV 4K’s is its picture quality, thanks to its onboard Dolby Vision. The blacks are much blacker; the images are crisper and more fluid; and the definition is insane.
